1. What SkillDojo is

SkillDojo is a paid online learning community, hosted on Circle.so, teaching Kotoshori — the discipline of running work through an inspectable loop — practiced in the domain of agentic engineering. Members progress through a six-belt curriculum by completing project submissions ("Ships") and Belt Tests.

2. Founding-period disclosure (read this first)

The curriculum is released belt by belt. White Belt — The Stance is published, and founders can begin now. Yellow through Black Belt are under construction, and we do not promise release dates for unreleased belts. Each later belt is included as released, at no additional course fee. If the gap between what you expected and what exists matters to you, the refund terms in §5 are the remedy.

Automated assessment is not running yet. Belt Tests, senpai grading, credentials and automatic belt unlocking are being completed during the founding beta. During the beta the head Sensei reviews work personally.

3. Price and billing

• Enrollment: $300 (USD), one time, charged at signup. It is the only charge. It buys permanent access to the Dojo Belt Course and all nine current Circle spaces.
• There is no subscription, no membership fee, no trial, no tier to choose, no automatic renewal, and no future charge of any kind.
• White Belt — The Stance is published, and founders can begin now. Yellow through Black Belt are under construction; we do not promise release dates for unreleased belts. Each later belt is included as released, at no additional course fee.
• We make no promise about any future community-membership offer or its price. If one is ever offered it will be a separate, optional purchase, described at that time.
• Your AI costs are separate from the dojo and paid by you to the providers: a Claude subscription is needed from White Belt, and an Anthropic API key at later belts. We disclose this before purchase and it is not included in any SkillDojo price.
• Payments are processed by Stripe through Circle; we never see or store your card details.

4. There is nothing to cancel

Your enrollment is a single payment, not a subscription. There is no recurring charge to cancel, and your course access cannot lapse for non-payment. Access to the Dojo Belt Course is permanent and is not conditioned on any ongoing payment.

5. Refunds and chargebacks

The refund window opens when your $300 enrollment payment succeeds.

• Full refund: within 14 calendar days of that payment, provided you have not yet earned White Belt. Contact the head Sensei to request it.
• The payment becomes final after 14 calendar days, or when White Belt is earned, whichever happens first. After that we do not refund, except: duplicate charges; our material failure to provide the access you purchased; rights you hold under law that cannot be waived; or a discretionary exception approved by the owner.
• A completed refund ends course access and prevents any future charge.
• A refund never erases a credential you legitimately earned.
• Chargebacks. If you dispute the charge with your bank, we pause paid access while we respond factually to the dispute. If it resolves in our favour, access is restored. If it resolves in your favour, we treat it as a completed refund. We never retaliate, and we never remove an earned belt over a payment dispute.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe.

6. AI in the dojo (disclosure)

• Automated grading is not running yet. It is being completed during the founding beta; until it is live the head Sensei reviews work personally. When it is enabled, Ships and Belt Tests will be graded by an AI senpai (a large language model) against a fixed, versioned rubric, with grading records storing their provenance. The pass/fail decision is made by our code applying the rubric — never by the AI freely, and never by instructions contained in a submission.
• Uncertain or borderline grades fail closed and are flagged for human review. Black Belt additionally requires the head Sensei's personal sign-off. You may request human review of any grade you believe is wrong.
• Q&A help in the community may be answered by the same AI senpai. Questions about grading disputes, billing, or account access are escalated to a human.
• Your submissions are sent to Anthropic's API for grading and Q&A (see the Privacy Policy). Do not include secrets or sensitive personal data in submissions.

7. Your content and ours

• Yours: you own what you build in the dojo — your code, your machine, your Ships. You grant us a non-exclusive license to display submissions inside the community (e.g. Show Your Ship) and, with your permission, as testimonials.
• Ours: the curriculum, lessons, rubrics, katas, and the SkillDojo name and marks are ours (or licensed to us). Membership grants personal, non-transferable access — not the right to republish, resell, or train systems on the curriculum.

8. Community conduct

Be the kind of member a dojo needs: respectful, honest about what you built, generous when others are stuck. We may remove content or suspend or terminate members for harassment, plagiarism of others' Ships, attempts to manipulate or prompt-inject the grading systems, spam, or illegal content. Belt grades obtained by deception may be revoked.

No prorated refund applies to the one-time purchase. If SkillDojo permanently discontinues purchased course access and cannot provide equivalent access, it will refund the $300 purchase price. No refund is owed when access ends because of fraud, abuse, learner breach, or legal necessity, except where required by law. Earned credentials remain unaffected.

9. The service, plainly

The dojo runs on third-party platforms (Circle, Stripe, Anthropic) and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. The service is provided "as is"; to the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability is capped at the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. You are responsible for ensuring your own AI-provider accounts comply with their terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the community and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued membership after that is acceptance. Price changes never apply retroactively to time already paid.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA (GoAgent LLC's state of formation), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go first to a good-faith conversation with the head Sensei; failing that, they are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both sides consent to that venue. (Template default — courts, not arbitration. Whether an arbitration clause would serve better is a question for the WS8e lawyer review.)
